When I took our trash to a garbage dump because a garbage truck comes to the place every Monday and Thursday to collect, I turned my face up toward sky. However, I couldn't see it. I thought maybe the area where I live is brighter than countryside because there're many buildings around my house and the air isn't clear enough for us to see.
I hope I'll be able to see it someday.
Incidentally, as for " 七夕 ", it sounds " tanabata" in Japanese. One of stories is that long time ago, people offered woven clothes, --(織 bata)--, on a shelf, --(棚 tana)--. Since then they have said it like that.
