" Sent From My iPhone"

I enjoyed the English workshop that I regularly take part in last Wednesday. One of the members had prepared the following article: Are you annoyed when you see "Sent from my iPhone" at the end of a mail?
Actually, that article was written in Japanese, but we discussed our opinions in English, of course.

According to the article, some feel annoyed or irritated when they receive text messages with it because it's as if the senders showed that they were too busy to reply through their PCs or that they used Apple products.
A guest speaker who is from America told us that some Americans actually delete it because there are some people don't like Apple products and might get irretated.

Actually, I was surprised to find it out because I don't care about whether or not they use Apple or other manufacturers, nor do I feel it that senders were showy or too busy. To my shame, I didn't know that there was a setting called "Signature" on my phone....

My mails might have annoyed someone....I already deleted 'the phrase'...^^;

An Earthquake!

An earthquake of magnitude 6.5 hit Kumamoto prefecture in Japan last night.

While taking a bath, I felt a 4 level on the Richter scale. It reminded me of the earthquake that happened eleven years ago.
My son told me he was scared of the alarms for calamities on my husband and my cell phones more than the earthquake.

Fortunately, there was no damage here, but I pray for those who are affected by the earthquake.
It is said that the series of aftershocks could happen for one month ahead.

Stay safe and stay calm....
