There were two of us.

In the morning I visited a local community center to take part in the English club I belong to. It was the first meeting for this year, so I was thrilled to meet the members and the native English speaker who regularly takes part in.

Unfortunately, almost all of the members were absent from the meeting because some had caught a cold, others had to take care of their kids etc. To my happiness, a new member participated in today's meeting. She used to take part in the English workshop I took over; however, I closed the workshop due to my work. Although having hesitated to take part in the English club at first, she joined us today. :D

I had asked the native English speaker to give us some themes to discuss the other day. He suggested a few interesting topics to us: "To explore body language and gestures in English." "The idea of developing learning techniques or drills and practice to discover new words and phrases."
At first, we alternately came up to the front and made a speech about our winter breaks. After that, we asked some questions about each speaker's story. The native guest, of course, listened to our speeches and gave us some natural expressions. In addition, he observed our styles of speaking. After all, we realized our current habits of speaking.
Then, we learned how to make a speech to attract audience and have confidence in our English skills.

As I hadn't thought about my habits of speaking, it was very helpful for me. I hope I'll be able to speak on the basis of the focal points which I learned today.
