A medical checkup

This morning I headed for a hospital to take a medical checkup. I'm ashamed to say that it was the first time since quitting my previous job. When you get health benefits as a worker, you're required by law to take an annual health exam.

After quitting my old job, I was a stay-at-home mom, so I put it on the back burner. It was true that I was reluctant to take it because it was tiresome. Even I started my new career, I hadn't taken it for a while. (I work for a company, but I'm a manager of my class. As such I don't get benefits package.)

Well, I took a gynecological examination, a urine test, a body measurement and a blood sample. It didn't take as long as I had expected. I'm supposed to get the results in two weeks. Anyway, it seems that I'm fit as fiddle. ^^b

I wasn't allowed to drink, including alcohol, or eat anything from 9:00 p.m yesterday until this morning. As if I were on the wagon. Now it's time to lift the ban! lol

Thank you for visiting and giving me your comment. As I mentioned in E-mail, I'm concerned about you. But, I'm so happy to get your comment here.

Well, you can say that again. If I were in my 20's, I wouldn't do that, I guess. However, I feel like that as you mentioned. Health is irreplaceable, isn't it.

Hello VibrantRose san,
I can say that it's very important to take an anual physical checkup. Thanks to this kind of checkup, I was able to get some advice from doctors at an early stage. To maintain our health, we should take a chekup annually at least, right? I feel that way as I age.
