What a Sly Boy!

Yesterday, my son came back home from school and got dressed for football practice. I asked him without intention, "Who are you going with?" He said, "Ah, well......○○ kun." I thought it would be unusual because the boy and he are classmates and teammates but they're not close friends actually. They seldom hang out together, but I thought it would be good for him to hang out with a variety of friends.

At the time, however, he said, "Well....Actually, I'm dropping in on him to pick up my Japanese textbook on my way to the football ground."
"What!? What did you say? Why does he have your textbook?" I was puzzled a little.
He told me that the boy had asked him to lend his textbook to the boy even though they were in the same class! He said NO, of course, but the boy pestered him to lend his textbook. In addition, he told me that the boy has forgot text books recently and didn't want to say that to their homeroom teacher.
My son ended up lending his text book to the boy and the boy used it as if it was his OWN book! What was worse, my son told his homeroom teacher he forgot his text book! Of course, the boy didn't tell the truth....SUCKS!!

I told him that he shouldn't have done that even though the boy pestered him or was a bossy boots. I also told him not to do that again. I sympathized with him, of course, but I wanted him to learn that wrong is wrong and right is right.

Anyway, when he dropped in on the boy, he told the boy he would NEVER lend the boy anything. I don't know whether the boy has done like that before, but I should keep any eye on the boy from now on...
